Why Made by Mothers Exists

Made by Mothers exists to support Maltese mothers by providing flexible, home-based work that helps supplement their income — so they can make ends meet without having to spend more time away from their children.

For many mothers, especially those without strong support systems, the pressure to cope financially is growing. Even full-time wages don’t always stretch far enough to cover basic living costs.

Mothers facing additional challenges — whether caring for children with additional needs, navigating single parenthood, managing illness, or growing up with fewer opportunities — are often the most affected.

How It Works

The mothers in our community are fully supported to handcraft our designs. We provide all the training, tools, and materials necessary for them to start earning from home.

They receive €5 for every bracelet they craft.

When you purchase our jewellery, you receive something truly beautiful and truly meaningful: A handmade, quality product and symbol of solidarity that says you stand with mothers and share our belief that mothers deserve support.

 €5 goes directly to the mother who made it.
 Every purchase brings us closer to hiring the next mother.

Hi, I'm Jenny

As the founder of Made by Mothers, this project brings together my creativity, beliefs, values, and lived experiences.

My goal is to give as many mothers as possible the chance to supplement their income from home, in a way that works with motherhood, not against it—a creative, calming, and motherhood-friendly way to earn.

Because when mothers are supported, children flourish and society grows stronger.

This isn’t a brand built in spite of motherhood; it’s a brand built because of it and in honour of everything it carries.
